International · New in Vienna

New in Vienna. And you want to keep competing.

Whether you are here for one semester or for good – train the way you did at home. Separate kumite and kata sessions, athletic preparation, coaches in your corner at tournaments.

Moving cities should not cost you a season

You are moving to Vienna to study or to work, and you want to keep training karate and competing at championships? We support you in that and provide the conditions you need.

We train competitors. Whoever walks into the hall on a Tuesday evening stands on the mat with people who are fighting at the weekend. Nobody here will ask why you want one more round of randori.

You would not be the first

Competitors from several countries have trained here after moving to Vienna for study or work. Alongside them are Austrian competitors who came in from other provinces for exactly the same reasons.

So we know what such a move involves: a new group, a new training rhythm, and open questions about club transfer and eligibility. We sort that out with you before you enter anything.

Training is run in German, and the whole coaching team speaks fluent English (and a few other languages).

What training looks like

Kumite five days a week

Monday to Friday, kumite is a session of its own: distance, timing, counters and full competition situations under pressure.

Athletic preparation

Strength, speed and coordination, planned around the competition calendar and built by a state-certified athletics coach.

Coaching at tournaments

Our coaches travel with the team, coach from the corner and go through the fight with you afterwards. The season is planned together.

Access outside class hours

Preparing for a competition means getting into the hall outside the scheduled sessions too: extra rounds, athletic work, technique in peace. The conditions should depend on you, not on the timetable.

Training partners from national teams

Karateka who were or are on national teams have trained here and still do. It raises the level in the room, and you feel it in every round.

Training times

Adults train kumite and kata separately. On Mondays and Thursdays both run in parallel, so you choose what you work on that week.

Competing out of Vienna

We are a member of the Austrian Karate Federation (Karate Austria – ÖKB), which in turn belongs to the World Karate Federation (WKF) and the European Karate Federation (EKF). Across the year our athletes compete at national and international championships, to test themselves and to gather experience.

Entries go through the club. If you are coming from another club, another province or another country, we look at what is open to you – transfer, eligibility, deadlines – and then you start where it makes sense.
